Empowering Veterans to Thrive in Agriculture

Join us July 25 & 26 at Drake University Law School for networking and learning about unique opportunities, programs, and jobs available to military veterans and service members who are farming, aspiring to farm, or seeking agricultural related careers.

All attendees will receive a complementary copy of the 300+ page “Wholesale Success: A Farmer’s Guide to Food Safety, Selling, Postharvest Handling, and Packing Produce,” a $70 value.

Farm Tours

Friday morning will feature a tour of the Griffieon Family Farm, a diverse business with commercial row crop production, specialty crops, and livestock.  A shuttle will be provided from Drake University, departing for the farm at 9 AM.

Workshops

Friday afternoon and Saturday will consist of several educational presentations and workshops led by agricultural experts, agency personnel, and veteran service providers.

Networking

The Conference will include plenty of time for networking with other veterans and farmers, including a social reception Friday evening and an exhibit hall for service providers, vendors, and potential employers.
